Rope baths are one of the leading treatment methods at Kuialnyk Sanatorium, utilizing the unique healing properties of the rope from the Kuialnyk estuary. Rope is a highly mineralized saline solution formed as a result of seawater evaporation in the estuary. It has a complex chemical composition, rich in sodium, calcium, magnesium, bromine, iodine, and other trace elements.
Unlike the clear water of swimming pools, the rope from the Kuialnyk estuary has a characteristic amber color and a cloudy appearance. This is due to the presence of a huge amount of mineral salts, organic substances, and suspended mud particles. It is these unique components that provide the powerful therapeutic effect of the rope baths.
The procedure for taking rope baths consists of several stages: heating the rope to the required temperature, immersing the patient in the bath for a certain time, and, if necessary, adding medicinal preparations. The duration of the procedure, the concentration of the rope, and the temperature are selected individually for each patient, depending on the diagnosis and health condition.
Indications for rope baths:
- musculoskeletal disorders (arthrosis, arthritis, osteochondrosis);
- chronic inflammatory processes (chronic bronchitis, pyelonephritis);
- skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis).
Contraindications:
- acute infectious diseases;
- severe heart failure;
- bleeding of various origins;
- malignant neoplasms.
